This year marks the 25th anniversary of the ground breaking International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD), which took place in Cairo in 1994. At that conference, 179 governments adopted a Programme of Action, recognizing that reproductive health, women's empowerment and gender equality are the pathway to sustainable development.
However, the Cairo summit in 1994 was marred by the subtly inflammatory pro-abortion speech by Norway´s socialist Prime Minister, Medical Doctor Gro Harlem Brundtland, who violated the preparations of the summit by introducing pro-abortion language. This was contrasted in Western-financed media to ultra-islamic rhetoric, putting the poor nations of the world into intolerable dilemmas.
I debated with Prime Minister Brundtland on Norwegian TV in 1994, but the damage had already been done. She had started the abortion brainwashing of the world.
On November 12th-14th a follow-up summit will be held in Nairobi.
