Invited to Summit on Peace, Security, and Human Development in Southeast EuropeDr Katsumi Otsuka, Chairman for Europe & Middle East of Universal Peace Federation, visited Oslo on July 2nd, and the UPF Norway Director Steinar Murud set up a cordial lunch with Jan-Aage Torp. The Japanese-born Dr Otsuka subsequently invited Torp to Tirana 2019.

KKN´s Executive Chairman Jan-Aage Torp has been Invited to participate in the Southeast Europe Peace Summit on «Peace, Security, and Human Development in Southeast Europe» which will be held in Tirana, Albania on October 25th-28th.

The organizers are Universal Peace Federation (UPF) which was founded by Rev. Sun Myung Moon and his wife, Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, in 2005.

Mrs. Moon is expected to attend Tirana 2019 along with the President of Albania, Ilir Meta, and several heads of state from European and other nations as well as high level religious leaders.

Altogether 200 participants from political and religious leadership will share insights and build relationships during the three day summit at the prestiguous Tirana International Hotel.

The topics that will be covered are «Interdependence, Mutual Prosperity, and Universal Values», «Toward Peace in Southeast Europe», «Education for Peace and Human Development», «Addressing Critical Challenges of Our Time: The Role of Parliamentarians and Faith Leaders», «Family Values, Peace Values», «The Challenge of Migration: Perspectives from EU and Southeast Europe», «Interfaith Cooperation and Social Engagement: Best Practices», «Women Together: Redefining Pathways to Peace, Reconciliation and Human Development», «Media in the 21 st Century: Challenges and Opportunities», «Peace and Development in Southeast Europe: The Role of Business, Entrepreneurs and Investors», «Peace Perspectives in Southeast Europe» & more.

The advisory status of Universal Peace Federation (UPF) in the United Nations was recently upgraded from «Special» to «General», making UPF one of the 134 most acknowledged organizations in the UN.
