The Tale of Two Media Channels: CNN vs. OAN

The 2020 Presidential Election is truly the tale of two worldviews, two media strategies:

1) CNN had since 2000 taken over the role of Associated Press (AP), which used to be the «gold standard»: When AP called an election, it was done. For the past four Presidential Elections (2004, 2008, 2012, and 2016) CNN took over that role. But in 2020 CNN is clearly violating the principles that gave AP that unquestionable role by minute-to-minute refusal to wait for the votes to be counted, the legal processes to be completed, and the elections in every state be duly certified.

2) The ONE America News Network (OAN), a fresh news channel in the US, is setting the «gold standard» in 2020, refusing to jump to conclusions before all votes are counted (i.e. legal votes), all legal processes are completed, and every state has certified the election results for their particular state. This is what the world expected from AP, and we got just that. Now OAN is doing the same.
